Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (March 28th, 2011) – The re-birth or evolution of Arizona’s longest standing speedway is just days away and the excitement is growing as crews prepare Canyon Speedway for its first race under new management.  It’s the dawning of a new era and this Saturday night will set the stage as the stars of Arizona get ready to rumble for some big money.

The star studded field of the IMCA Modifieds will all be aiming towards the $777 winner’s share of Saturday night’s A-Feature purse with the winner having the option to test their luck and triple the money.  The driver taking the checkered flag can take the cash or test their skills and return April 16th for a shot at three times the cash if they can win back to back.

El Mirage, Arizona’s Jason Noll will be a man on a mission when the IMCA Modifieds roll onto the newly prepared Canyon Speedway.  Noll fresh off his second win of the year will be aiming for victory lane for the third time in the 2011 championship season but will have his hands full with the a large cast of Modified stars that include Terry Belcher Jr., George Fronsman, Steve Stultz and Tim Ward.

Marlyn Seidler, who graced Canyon Speedway victory lane on March 12th, is fresh off a runner up finish at USA Raceway and is ready to spin the wheels and take a shot at big money.  The North Dakota racer is the only driver that has been able to beat the hot hand of Noll.

Modified drivers will not be alone in the big payday as the Pure Stocks will have a shot at more than double the norm with a $500 payday on the line. Bomber Mania also explodes into the new era with a jackpot of their own, worth a smooth $200 going to Saturday night’s main event winner.

George Fronsman will triple his chances on the big payday as he leads both the Pure Stock and Super Stock championship point’s battle going into this weekend’s ground breaking event surely calling for another action packed night of excitement at CSP.

Bomber Mania will run wild with Joe Vlasity leading the charge against the Thornton Nation in an all out battle to the end for big cash and Bomber Mania prestige.  Only to top things off, comes another $100 bill up for grabs. The bomber pilot with the goofiest looking hotrod will take that Benjamin Franklin home if the crowd agrees with his or her car being the “What the h*ll was that award?”

To liven the place up a just a tad more, Canyon Speedway will offer a few other cash prizes that will include the Pure Stock drivers with a little help from his fans. One more $100 spot is up for the taking when we find out who the wildest, craziest, loudest fans in the valley are cheering for.  Be sure to gear up and get wild for your favorite Pure Stock driver.

Super Stock drivers will get in the mix with the Super Man award for the Pole Car if that driver elects to tag the field and is able to win.  If the first place starter declines the offer it will be handed down to the next driver in line and the Super Man winner will eventually put another $100 worth of prize money in his pockets.

This and much more as the IMCA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars and Bombers complete the card for an action packed Saturday night and family fun with the Allscapes Kids Bicycle Bonanza.  Win a free bike and kick off the excitement when general admission tickets go on sale at 5pm for only $15 for adults, Senior and Military $13 and children 12 under are always free.
