Lonnie Wheatley, PEORIA, Ariz. (March 26, 2011) – Jeremy Sherman picked off his first Sunoco Fuel ASCS Canyon Region win of the season by topping Saturday night’s 30-lap main event at Canyon Speedway Park.

The former series champ made a late move to capture his 29th career ASCS Canyon win aboard the Gaerte-powered Ellis Race Cars/Beaver Stripes No. 21 entry.

Sherman was chased to the line by Ronnie Clark, with Bob Ream, Jr., settling for the show position after leading much of the way.  Two-time and reigning series champion Charles Davis, Jr., raced from 14th to claim his second fourth-place finish in as many races, with Josh Pelky rounding out the top five.

Stevie Sussex was sixth, with Dalten Gabbard, R.J. Johnson, Brian Hosford and Ryan Linder completing the top ten.

Sherman, Pelkey and Sussex topped heat race action for the 26-car field, with Jordan Stetson winning the “B” Main.

Danny Pearson won his first Canyon Speedway Sport Mod feature coming from the back of the field to win.  Pearson was later disqualified for failing to report to post race tech immediately following the race giving the win to Chris Caldwell.

Josh Shipley won the ASCS2 feature and Brian Stehr captured the Dwarf Car main event.
