Kevin Montgomery, PEORIA, Ariz. (May 29, 2011) – Anthony Madrid double dipped over the weekend picking up two consecutive Total Seal Late Model Series victories as he wrapped up an exciting weekend of racing action by winning Sunday night’s 25-lap main event atop Canyon Speedway’s 3/8 mile clay oval.

Madrid was able to win from the pole position but it was Terry Belcher Jr. that would lead the first portion of the event as Madrid battled Belcher and Ricky Thornton Jr. for the lead.  Belcher would relinquish the lead to Madrid at the half way point and he was able to sustain constant pressure from Thornton to capture his third win of the year.

Thornton would settle for runner up with Belcher, John Cornell and Joey Moriarty rounding the top five.

Ty Warner was able to put an end to Jeff Stafford’s rein on the Pure Stock division as he captured his first victory of the 2011 season.  Warner battled back after experiencing some unfortunate luck over the weekend and was able to beat a hard charging Stafford and Madrid to the checkered flag.

Joe Vlasity conquered six in a row in Bomber Mania with Jason George and Brad Weiss taking home the hardware in X-Mod and Modlite competition.
