Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (July 5thst, 2011) – While some may think the seasonable temperatures are warm it is the IMCA Modifieds that will heat up the track as they return to Canyon Speedway’s 3/8 mile clay this Saturday night.

Nine events into the 2011 championship, it was DJ Wood that became the sixth different winner as he topped the June 18th 25-lap feature just ahead of Mark Stewart.  Stewart, who was also searching for his first win of the year, was just behind Wood at the stripe with Guy Norton in close tow.  All three drivers battled it out for their first win of 2011 resulting in Wood holding the hardware at the end of the night.

With a full field of capable winners race fans will be filled with anticipation as to who will win the next round.

While the action heats up on the track, race fans will be able to cool down with an ice cold beer while they enjoy the on track excitement.  Canyon Speedway, for the first time in many years, will host the Saturday night party and will have the beer on ice and ready for the fans to enjoy.

Join the party as Ty Warner goes for four in a row and Joe Vlasity try’s for win number nine.  The beer will be cold and the party will get started when the IMCA Modifieds join the Pure Stocks, Southwest Modlites, X-Mods and Bombers.  General admission tickets will go on sale at 5pm for only $15, racing will begin promptly at 7:30pm.
