Foster and Ward Top Busy Two Day Race Weekend

Kevin Montgomery, PEORIA, Ariz. (August 21st, 2011) – Jay Foster picked off his first IMCA Modified win of the 2011 Championship season as he rolled to victory lane on Friday nights opener while Tim Ward made his way back to victory lane on Saturday night.

With a stellar field, both drivers made their way to the front to take the checker with Foster beating Anthony Madrid and Shawn Zelenka while Tim Ward held off Lance Mari and Tony Steele.

Ty Warner was able to double up his winnings as he topped both nights of Pure Stock action and took home $300 for his Friday efforts and $500 for Saturday’s win.  While Warner was able to post wins for both nights, it was Scott Kleintop and Chris McCurdy Jr. putting up a stellar challenge Saturday night with McCurdy posting top fives in both features over the two day event.

Rob Colclasure and Mike Brigner shared the spot light for the Super Stock division as they posted wins for Friday and Saturday respectively.  The two drivers swapped positions finishing runner up on their opposing nights.

Jo Vlasity and Chuck Thornton were winners in Bomber Mania while Mike Williams and Daniel Lamm took honors in Dwarf Car action.

Brian Swinehart was victorious in the debut of the Challenge Cup Sprint Cars as beat Matt Lundy and John Brinkley.

A full two day event kicks off the month of September as the Total Seal Late Models join the IMCA Modifieds for a fast action filled Labor Day weekend.  Overnight camping is encouraged as the Western States Stock Cars join the Super Stocks, Bombers and Mini Stocks.  The holiday weekend kicks off Saturday night when general admission tickets go on sale at 5pm for only $15 for adults, Senior and Military $13 and CHILDREN 12 and UNDER are free. Racing will begin promptly at 7:30pm.
