Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (August 10th, 2011) – The culmination of the current Total Seal Late Model championship points battle will be settled at Peoria, Arizona’s Canyon Speedway this November as the dynamic series ends their season at the Copper State 50.

The 2011 Total Seal Late Model Champion will be crowned following the newly scheduled two day event capped off by a $2000 to win 50-lap feature slated for Saturday night November 12th.  Top Late Model drivers from the West Coast will be in action both Friday November 11th and Saturday November 12th during one of the busiest race weekends in Arizona.

“We have several marquee events scheduled at Canyon Speedway this fall and thought it would be a great opportunity to give the Late Models series their own event,” commented Canyon Speedway Management.  “The Total Seal Late Model’s are a great series and we are looking forward to this event on a big race weekend.”

Anthony Madrid, who currently leads a very tight Championship battle over Lonnie Parker Jr. and Ricky Thornton Jr., will lead the charge to the Copper State 50 season finale as he aims for his first Total Seal Late Model crown.

With the addition of the Copper State 50 the Late Models will be removed from the 23rd Annual Desert Classic leaving way for the IMCA Modifieds to headline November 4th and 5th as top IMCA Modified drivers battle for a $3000 victory payday.

The super competitive Pure Stocks will join the mighty Southwest Modlites to make up a full card for the 1st Annual Copper State 50.
