Kevin Montgomery Peoria, ARIZ (April 2nd, 2012) – A busy weekend awaits Easter celebrators and race fans as Canyon Speedway Park gets hopping at the 2nd Annual Easter Eggstravaganza with fast racing and plenty of action.

The star of the show, the Easter Bunny, will drop in at 5:30 to get the festivities started with Easter bags filled with goods for the first 100 kids through the front gate and will also have a pair of “Norton Racing” bikes to give-away for one lucky boy and girl to ride home at the end of the action packed night.

A big group of IMCA Modifieds will be hunting for a win as last years champion and bicycle donator, Guy Norton, will be at the wheel of his Easter Machine ready to fend off a hungry Jason Noll.

Noll, winner of the Copper Classic Modified outing, will try to take over an early point’s lead that is currently shared by recent winner Anthony Madrid.

Pure Stock extraordinaire, Matt Martinez, will skip the chocolate Easter Bunnies as he will pull double duty when the Pure Stock’s make their 2012 season debut.  Martinez will look to take the first win of the year but will have to deal with 2011 Champ, Jeff Stafford.

Martinez will double up and make his rookie debut in a wingless Sprint Car as the CSP Challenge Cup Sprint Cars take to the Canyon Speedway oval for the first time in 2012.  Martinez will have to battle veterans John Shelton and Brian Swinehart as the two previous winners will be looking for their first 2012 victory.

Race goers will get a rare double dose of Sprint Car action as the ASCS Southwest Wing Sprint Cars will also join the Easter fun with Rick Ziehl, the “Real Deal” at the wheel of the 20z John Ziehl owned machine as the duo seeks their fifth ASCS title.

Most recent ASCS Sprint Car Winner, “Chargin Charles”, will drop in on the fun and make his 2012 Wing Debut.  Davis, fresh off a Canyon Speedway wingless triumph, will try his luck and take on top competitors in the Wing ranks.

Bomber Mania and the Desert Dwarf Cars will join the Eggstravaganza for a fun filled night of Easter celebration along with a full night of racing action.

Canyon Speedway will celebrate Easter in grand fashion with the 2nd Annual Easter Eggstravaganza featuring the double header of IMCA Modifieds and the ASCS Wing Sprint Cars.  The season debut of the highly anticipated Challenge Cup Non Win Sprint Cars and the return of the CSP Pure Stock’s will be joined by Bomber Mania and Dwarf Cars for a full night of Easter fun.   The Easter Eggstravaganza will get hopping when general admission tickets go on sale at 5pm for only $15 for adults, Senior and Military $13, Juniors 7-12 $6 and CHILDREN 6 and UNDER are free. Racing will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
